About Elizabeth New, Ph.D.
A native Texan, Dr. New is a specialist in French and founder of French Affaires, a company celebrating French travel, culture, language, and l’art de vivre. She is a self-confessed Francophile and has been making pilgrimages to France since 1983. Paris and Provence count among her particular favorites as she has lived in both locales, though the country is so varied that “there are always more riches to discover,” she notes. Her experience includes undergraduate and graduate teaching, presentations at national and international conferences, and organizing and leading trips to France. She is currently writing a travel book on France.
Dear Richard – Many thanks for your note. We loved discussing your book “French Dirt” at the French Affaires Book Series event in April. We all wanted to put our hands in some French dirt at the end of our conversation. I hope all is well. Are you writing another book on some aspect of life in France?
Bien cordialement,
Elizabeth
Dear Elizabeth,
I want to thank you for featuring my book, French Dirt, in April. It’s very heartening to know that there are people who are attracted to what I wrote. I appreciate it. Regards, Richard
